Pantera was also awarded the CAODC Chairman of the Board Shield both in 2004 and 2007, along with Safety Leadership Awards for 2005, 2006, 2008 and 2009.

Pantera's maintenance programs emphasize safety and rig reliability. Pantera employs a full time Safety Manager who reports directly to the Vice President Operations and has direct access to the President. The Safety Manager of Pantera is an active member of the CAODC HSE Committee.

High utilization rates and reliable equipment promote a safe work environment and crew stability at the rig. Pantera has held its Certificate of Recognition (COR) since 2002 and is committed to the program. Alberta Human Resources and Employment developed the COR Occupation Health and Safety Program by way of a partnership that provides a method for drilling companies to develop and improve their health and safety programs through both internal and external audits.

Pantera regularly conducts on-site safety and training meeting to ensure that all personnel are informed about and continue to satisfy or exceed all applicable regulatory and safety requirements. Pantera's operating practices comply with the provincial standards for oilfield waste management. These standards are communicated to personnel so that they can be understood and adhered to at all times.
